Based on the prices we mentioned in the previous parts of this post, the cost of replacing the electric bike battery ranges between 200 and 600 dollars, depending on the battery capacity, manufacturing materials, and brand.
Why ebike battery replacement costs are different for the same capacity?
While doing this study to try to find the average price of replacing an electric bike battery, we found that prices are different for the same category, and we attributed this difference to four main factors.
1-BMS Capacity
The BMS is the internal computer for the battery that manages the battery by monitoring the electrical current entering the battery. The higher the capacity of the BMS, the higher the price because its ability to withstand a higher electric current will be greater.
2-Charger and its speed.
The second factor that affected the price of replacing the battery was the presence of the charger with the battery or not
And also the capacity of the charger is it a fast charger that is higher than 4 amps or a normal charger 2 amps
3-Battery Design.
One of the things that we found to increase the price is the design of the outer cover of the battery.
Some batteries come in a shape that you can install on the Bottom Tube, which gives a more beautiful look
There are batteries that do not come with an outer plastic cover, which will make you buy a bag for them at an additional cost.
The more beautiful the outer cover, the higher the price.
4- Internal battery cell capabilities.
The more the internal cells of the battery are made of high-quality components and also its high capacity, the higher the price of the battery.
Note: This point is one of the most important points during a battery replacement, so be sure to check with the manufacturer of the battery cells and that it is a well-known company.
